Meg DeCarlo
Meg who is one of our seasoned coaching veterans has been involved with the club over the past three years. She brings with her a wealth of hockey experience from her eight plus years playing defense with the Peterborough Ice Kats.
Our go to coach for teaching new skaters everything from the basics of how to get back up properly, how to stop and everyone's favourite, backwards skating.
As a highschool student at St. Peter's Secondary School Meg looked for an organization where she could not only utilize her hockey skills but to make a difference in others lives. Working one on one with a player is her specialty and many of the ECM&W have benefited.
She has also been a volunteer with our baseball team over the past two seasons and is known for her pitching prowess!
About Meg
Meg is passionate about life and has a career goal of becoming a firefighter. Hockey is in her blood, besides playing for the Ice Kats and coaching she also plays high school hockey for St. Petes.
She shares this when summing up her past experience with the club. “Each time I arrive at the rink or on the baseball field I learn something new from our players. The absolute love of the game that the athletes share inspires me in my everyday life and with my own sports, and for that I am thankful beyond measure" Meg adds “I hope that I can for years to come and thank you for inviting me to be part of something so amazing!"
In her spare time Meg loves watching sports, hanging out with friends, going to concerts and travelling.
