Lindsay Munoz
Lindsay joined the Maroon & White in September 2016 and quickly formed some wonderful friendships with the players and families. With a teaching degree from Queens and Trent it has always been her dream to work with children and from her interaction she has a bright and shining future.
Lindsay started playing hockey at a young age and her powerful skating comes in handy when pushing our wheelchair players often for two games in a row.
With an easygoing personality and desire to improve the lives of special needs kids and adults Lind's is a valued member of our coaching staff.
About Lindsay
A local Lakefield resident until September 2017 Lindsay made the move to Toronto to pursue her career in the education field. Distance does indeed make the heart grow fonder and although she is not available for every team event Lind’s often makes the Saturday morning commute back to Peterborough so that she can participate and see her extended hockey family.
An animal lover through and through Lindsay shares a condo with her beloved cat Levi . When she goes home to spend time on her family hobby farm she’s welcomed by their horses, 5 dogs and cats.
A vegetarian, Lindsay loves to experiment with new recipes and her perfect Sunday is reading a good book and meal prepping for a busy upcoming week.
I asked Lindsay if she had a favourite memory that stands out and she said “Seeing Owen, Brad and Andrea (our wheelchair athletes) on the ice having the opportunity to play the game they love"
