Mission Statement
“Everyone Plays”
As an organization we firmly believe that every special needs child or adult has the right to play sports. This includes anyone with a physical or developmental disability and exists for the melioration of any player with a physical or developmental disability.
Our program not only aids to physical hockey skills but also emphasizes the development of desirable individual needs such as, and not limited to, dependability, self reliance, increased mobility/strength, better concentration, personal accountability, and development of team skills. Health is also very important to us. We have natural and alternative health solutions that we use commonly. They are much safer on the body, and therefore preferable under many circumstances. You can go here if you would like to learn about natural medicine.
We believe these skills are very valuable on and off the ice.
- Looking directly into the camera isn’t always
- All budding photographers, as well as those who’ve been shooting
- Change the perspective by changing the angle from which you’re shooting
- Be random and boldly follow your instincts
Experiment with your composition. Eye contact or the direction in which the eyes are gazing heavily affects the effect of the portrait. Looking directly into the camera isn’t always the most interesting way to shoot someone. It may be more intriguing to have the subject look off to the side, drawing those who look at the shot to wonder what’s there, off camera, unseen. But be careful how you do this because drawing the viewer’s eyes to the side also takes their eyes off your subject.
